Getting Started with Text Message Secretary

To get started I will explain how Text Message Secretary is designed so that you may get a feel of the terms I use in the documentation and this will help with understanding of how the app works. Text Message Secretary (aka TMS) works by analyzing incoming Text Messages (SMS) and performing actions based on rules that you have created. First, let me back up a bit and explain what the definition of these terms means below:

Rules – A rule is something that you (as the user) create to tell TMS to perform an Action (or many Actions) based on a Rule Matching Condition (or a combination of conditions).
Rule Match Condition – A Rule match condition is the condition set on a rule that TMS uses for matching incoming text messages. For example, the message sender, the actual text of the message, or the time of day.
Rule Action – The Rule Action is the action you want TMS to take when the rule match condition of the rule is matched. For example, delete the message, auto-reply to the message, send your GPS coordinates, play a custom ringtone, etc.
